2. Transportation

    (1) By Shuttle Express

    Taking the Shuttle Express Is the most convenient way to UW, from airport it just costs about $25 per person. When you arrive In Sea-Tac airport, go to the Baggage Claim near door number 6, there will be a Shuttle Express severing desk.

    (2)By Metro to and from Sea-Tac Airport

    convenient, and inexpensive, buses arrive at and leave from the Sea-Tac Airport baggage claim area near door number 6. Departure times are shown on information signs at the bus stop.

    All Metro buses on the routes listed below are fully accessible for passengers with wheelchairs or walkers. Buses also have bike racks for those with bicycles.

    Metro drivers are very helpful if you are new to Seattle and have questions about our system. Just ask.

    Going North

    Take route 174, 194, or 570 to downtown Seattle and connect with Metro buses serving to UW.

    The following bus routes provide daily airport service to and from Seattle and Bellevue:

      Metro Route 194 - Daily airport service to and from downtown Seattle and to and from Federal Way.
      Departure times : every 30 minutes in both directions.
      Travel time: 30 minutes.

      Metro Route 174 - Daily airport service to and from downtown Seattle and to and from Federal Way.
      Departure times: every 30 minutes in both directions.
      Travel time: 45 minutes.

      Metro Route 174 - Daily early morning airport service to and from downtown Seattle.
      Departure times: from downtown Seattle: 2:15 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., from the airport: 1:28 a.m. and 2:43 a.m. Travel time: 30 minutes.

      Sound Transit Route 570 - Service to and from the International District, West Seattle, White Center and Burien.
      Departure times: every 30 minutes during peak hours and every 60 minutes during off-peak hours
      Travel time: 60 minutes to and from Downtown Seattle.

    (3) By Car

    • From I-5: ( from North/South of  Seattle)
      Take I-5 exit  169, Turn right on 45 street. Keep right on 45 street. Continue on 45 street  about 1 miles. As 15 Avenue merges, you will see the University of  Washington campus on the right.
